If you've got ten minutes, watch this video of Joel Osteen, (Pator of Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas,) dance around the truth of the gospel message:
And then watch this video of John MacArthur boldly proclaiming the Gospel Message on National Television:

ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that confessing Christians can not reject false deities. Thank God for people like John Macarthur who are not afraid to stand up for Jesus. I saw one sermon by Joel Olsteen on T.V. and the topic was trans fat. It was a complete waste of time.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a waste of time. I would make the argument that Joel Olsteen has touched a lot of lives positively... as a motivational speaker. I just wish he would stop using the Name of Jesus as a platform.
ReplyDeleteIt was a waste of time for me to listen to a lecture on trans fats. I guess for someone that is into nutrition benefited from it.
ReplyDeleteI would have to hear this "sermon" on trans fat Craig. From what I have heard of Joel Olsteen, I see nothing wrong with him. I have not seen or read any of his messages, but I have seen his website. As stated on facebook, I dont feel that we should judge another mans faith.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 7:1-"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
Luke 6:37 - "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."
Please don't feed me the tolerance line. Tolerence is important, but accepting something does not mean you can not speak out against it.
ReplyDeleteI'm Tolerent of the swearing that goes on at my work, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It also doesn't mesan that I can't speak out and ask them to stop.
I am not judgeing anyones faith, or salvation. I am questioning his teachings. The Bible tells us to test EVERY Spirit. It also tells me that many false teachers will arise. Are we to assume that everything taught within mainstream christianity is from God? Absolutely not. That says to me that I am not only allowed to, but it is my duty as a christian question the teachings of every teacher. I would not want someone to blindly avccept what I teach as truth. I would rather them go home and study it for themselves.
Tolerance and acceptance are two VERY different things.
